Great Music You May Have Missed

What defines a good artist? Is it the video? The buzz surrounding an artist? Or maybe there style? Some might say all of that plus some more, I just say individual style - this includes musical style, writing, thoughts and inspirations used to make songs.

Anyhow check out my list of hot artist let me know what you think.

Chrisette Michele: signed by Jay-Z himself, Chrisette’s songs and voice are amazing, she reminds me of Corinne Bailey Rae with a hint of Norah Jones for good measure her debut album "I Am" is a great album full of easy listening and relaxed songs of love and heart break.

Chrisette Michele - Like A Dream

The Last good Night: With a heavy influence of U2 The Last goodnight's sounds very soulful with pop riffs and nice vocals. I listened to the album about a month ago it has become one of my favorite records, easy. I think this band has a feel like maroon 5 but not as soulful.....check out their new video below

The Last goodnight - Back Where We Belong

Hailing from Canada Leslie Feist is ready to release her new album "Reminder" which features the song "1234" of which you may or may not have head from the iPod commercials.........she is part of the indie pop movement which is getting bigger as i type........

Feist - One Two three Four

Fresh out of England is newcomer James Morrison who has a very soulful voice and equally as soulful lyric to boot. Morrison says that his musical influences include Al Green, Otis Redding, Cat Stevens and the Kinks.

James Morrison - The Letter of of the album Undiscovered, pick this album up this guy is amazing with that voice.

Colbie Caillat’s voice is reminiscent of jack Johnson’s wispery sound, her hit song bubbly (featured below in the video) is anything but, the lyrics are thoughtful and intelligent at the same time; her album has the warmth of a California bon fire and affect of chicken noodle soup to a sick soul.

Colbie Caillat - Tied Down from her new album "CoCo"

Marc Broussard: I can’t say enough about this guys music he sounds the same live as he does on records, not to mention his latest album S.O.S (Saving Our Soul) has him re-recording classic soul records my grandmother almost didn’t notice the difference between him and al green.......WOW, I’m not going to say much more just check the video and audio files below

Marc Broussard - Saturday from his first album "Carencro"

Mat Kearney: Sounds like a free kid, his styles are varied and his music is "Undeniable", ‘Nothing Left to Lose” is probably a song you have heard before but more than likely missed out on the artist.

Mat Kearney - Undeniable from his new cd "Nothing Left to Lose"

Jon Mclaughlin's latest song Beautiful Disaster is a great song
