Yankees Beat The O's 8-5

Watching the game last night was like winning the lottery 3 TIMES!!, wait let me explain first the Yankees beat the Orioles, next Cleveland had a comeback win over Detroit, and Frank Thomas put the “Big Hurt” on the Bosox (3 times no less).
All it took was a full count and a man called Godzilla aka Hideki Matsui, who made the most important hit of the night a homer that put us up one, and from then on the yanks rolled.

Phil Hughes had some bullpen help form Edwar Ramirez, Luis Vizcaino and a crappy Kyle Farnsworth, who was booed when he promptly gave up 2 runs and needed Mo Rivera to come in and save the game. The Yanks are now 3 1/2 games behind AL East-leading Boston with 12 games left to play. That's our smallest deficit since April 22, we also enlarged our wild-card lead to 3 1/2 games over the Tigers.

It was also a momentous night as Derek Jeter passed Bernie Williams for fourth place on the Yankees all time career list with 2,337 hits. The Yanks (86-64) have won 10 of 12, improving to a season-best 22 games over .500.
