The NBA and Fixed Games

by bILLY sHAKESPEARE AKA bILLY fABLE

Face it, we've all had that feeling that the NBA has been fixing games. This feeling is always sharpest around playoff time. The more games that air on TV, the more the NBA stands to make. The past few years have seen a huge rise in NBA playoff games, and so much so that it the games equal half of another season.

Think about it. The playoff round used to be 5-7-7-7 and were only recently changed to 7-7-7-7. Also, hardly anyone gets swept anymore.

The Tim Donaghy stuff seems to unfortunately confirm the sort of thing we all fear and suspect, but hope is only paranoia.

Tim Donaghy officiated game. Game 3. Spurs vs Suns.

Game 2. Last year's finals.

The imfamous series that even Donaghy says was fixed.

Here is the actual game.
